Memories of 2010...

A dear friend and teacher, an incredibly inspiring musician, Martynas Svegzda von Bekker, Lithuanian violinist who visited Boston in 2009/2010 as a Fulbright Scholar at Boston University, left for Europe already, but to us it seems like he is still here. In just one academic year, Martynas managed to captivate Boston's music elite, audiences, students at B.U., present numerous recitals (even visit Europe for a breif concert tour), arrange an international gala-concert celebration of the Millennium of Lithuanian History at TSAI Performance Center, perform his own violin compositions at Berklee School of Music... His incredible energy and talent are truly amazing (and, of course, we try to learn from him! :) Here's a short video of Julia and Konstantin with Klaudia Szlachta performing "Chrysanthemes" by Martynas - written for three violins:
